Wakey, wakey everyone, and what a beautiful morning it is out there.
Thought we should have a new Bits and Bobs, for the new growing season ahead.
Hoping to get my pots of peas planted out today and some more things started off in the greenhouse.
Do enjoy yourselves today.

Bore da OH
Lovely morning here too And a sunny forecast for the next five days
Seeds I sowed last weekend in and not in the propagator are all popping through - tomatoes, spring onions, herbs, lettuce etc. Potato bed is drying out, so some planting in prospect soon. Hens laying well again, ducks getting frisky.

I have never known the Welsh Mafia in our club be so quite during the game, if only the Italians had had a Johnny Wilkinson.

I don't even know who played today, let alone who won I was at the lottie before 9am and have just staggered through the door at 5:40pm, I'm worn to a frazzle, but it was a glorious day

Well OH, I had Thursday & Friday off and I've got loads of stuff done.
A leisurely morning today at the rugby club rounded off with bar-duty from 12 till 1.
I'll update my blog later today with the bit of gardening I did.
It's such a shame that Chantal always goes to sleep about half an hour after getting to her allotment and then after she wakes up only has half an hour left to do everything in, but it does explain why she's frazzled.

Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

Part of our big family came for lunch today, so it meant a lot of cooking in the morning (and a quick clean-up of the house!) and eating and chatting for the rest of the day, much enjoyed by everybody, but tomorrow I shall have to work twice as hard in the garden to work off all the calories acquired today!
The first peas (Alderman), broad beans (Claudia Aquadulce) and garlic (Solent Wight) are in the ground in the garden but nothing yet on the allotment, it's too early for our climes. The weather forecast is certainly good for the week.

I decided it was such a nice day and the result would only be another disappointment (a Red Mancunian) that I would listen on the radio and carry on weeding. Well my afternoon brew was ready just before 3 so I thought I would watch the start. Well no side whistle signalled dinner ready so the weeding is waiting for another day. So what was wrong in the other matches? Playing with 15 men for a whole match obviously helps but it was rather more than that.

I think it's when nerves finally turn to confidence.

Here in Vancouver Canada it is snowing (which is highly unusual I must stress) and so all of my seedlings are indoors apart from some peas that I have out in a raised bed covered by a plastic tunnel. My last frost date here is April 15th so that will be the busiest time for me in terms of planting outside and sowing some more seeds.
Today I went out to buy wood for the raised beds that I am creating, but I think that's about as far I am going to go this week. Apparently it is going to rain all week (which is not unusual for Vancouver) which maybe a bit of snow mixed in. Ugh.
