The first cut of the season!
This was my parent's small lawn (I don't have a lawn, thank goodness) which I cut for them on Saturday before the showers.
It looked better for it.
But the real question is:- why does grass grow longer around the edges of the lawn than in the middle?
And, why do people say lawns are difficult to grow? There is plenty of grass trying to grow around the allotment! :D

I find it grows where you don't want it, and doesn't where you do, if you get my drift! :?

iT'S MORE DIFFICULT TO WALK ON THE EDGES OF THE LAWN OR PATH. The grass always grows longer at the sides of raised beds.

Last year IO bought a second-hand petrol mower. Its success was such that I now have a pair of long-handled shears. They are much easier to handle.

Isn't Mother Nature untidy sometimes?
