I have been very impressed by the Brilliant (that's the name of the variety) Brussels Sprouts that were grown at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales. For what is billed as a very early Sprout they produced a very good crop and have held remarkably well - looked at them today and I think the labels were correct. Anyone else any experience with this variety?
Hi Colin,
I grew Brilliant for the first time this winter and I thought that they were very good.I picked the first ones in October and they have provided nice round tight sprouts right through till now.I sow mine in pots and move them up to a 5"pot before planting out where my first broad beans come out of.They were very vigorous and coped with a bad caterpillar attack in the summer which stripped most of the leaves but they still performed well.I would recomend them.
