We had quite a pleasant day, didn't really garden apart from a bit of a tunnel tidy first thing. Spent most of the day doing annual room service on most of my nest boxes. Quite a surprise to disturb two bumble bees in one, I've had wasps before but not bees. If they need it to over Winter hopefully the bit of dry hay I put in them all will be enough for them.

I shelled out the collected pea and bean seed today....they have been sat in paper bags on front room chairs for plenty long enough. ...one day I might even get sorted enough to be able to sit on the chairs myself...

A bright sunny morning for the local services but later clouded over with a fine drizzle at one point so didn't progress any more digging.

...bit of progress on the poorly email front. I have found that I can send from PC but no receive as yet, with incoming only viewable via webmail webpage..

Mild but light cloud down here & seems the same for the week to come, so that is good news. The tunnel is hitting 28C max & was 11 min so haven't lifted the sweet potatoes just yet, but I must soonish as not a chance for them if the rats get in, but currently they have been too busy eating my carrots in pots, chewing through the netting to get to them.

How strange so many folk are having computer problems? Would be interesting to see how old all these computers are as there was a bit of a thread on our community site saying basically they are built with a preordained end to their life. (It is fixable though if you use a local repair shop & not a brand recommended one as funnily then they are terminal)! I personally find cussing helps & searching online how to fix, but takes patience to sift through as haven't a clue of the terminology, so I go for the sites with pictures.

6:20 this morning logged on to my PC and emails are flying in.... I bet some poor old engineers have had a torrid weekend plotting out a fix and I bet customer service staff too have had to suffer some awful ear ache. I had got around the problem and was sitting it out til it worked once more...but don't you become reliant on these things.

Welcome Mr Fallowfield

"I’m very interested to hear if any one has a good method of growing no dig potatoes ."

I have planted spuds 4ins deep then covered with straw, 2 years running work ok but does encourage slugs though.

Charles Dowding has a video showing planting through plastic which I am considering for next year.

Autumn 2019 was the first time my broad beans were attacked. Now this year...

Most annoying but at least it isn't too late to put some more Aquadulce in.

I used to blame mice for this type of damage but, the last couple of years, it has definitely been Crows….still very annoying. :(
