I have just read a very interesting article in the weekly Garden News magazine about the problems seed merchants and specialist societies are having at the moment with Brexit regulations kicking in. All plant and seed material has to be separately certified both for import and export. Societies like the Alpine Garden Society and Cactus and Succulent Society whose funds are less than large seed merchants' find it very difficult to pay for the certification and their members abroad have to go without. Similarly, they of course receive many seeds from overseas members, all those have to be certified. Perhaps, that gives us a more lenient attitude towards the seed merchants .......
