Nothing quite so exciting up here, I got a pond liner, so I am in the garden digging a hole...…………..digging a hole so big and sort of round it was...……………………..
Been gardening for over 65 years and still learning.

On our walk round the village yesterday we saw that the allotments were pretty busy (including our old one) but no little groups of chatting, tea drinking gardeners! Well, our garden is providing us with plenty of exercise at the moment and the house has never looked cleaner!

House clean! That is on the "to do" list and a really thorough tidy first Monika. I'm trying to get a few outdoor things done while the weather is OK.

It's blowing a very cold north wind today, winter coat back on to queue to get in to the little Tesco to buy potatoes. That was my little walk for the day, I've been pulling out all the cupboards in my craft/fabric stash/spare room today. It always looks a lot worse before it gets better.

Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

Do we think there should be a time limit to tending
the plot?

On visit to plot there were two cars parked with cards from the police asking why are you here?, then outline of lock down conditions.

I would write one back saying I'm here because I have an allotment. Why are you here?

Yesterday I had a phone call telling me I can’t visit my wife until this is all over , I go down the plot each morning to feed the chickens I go early so I don’t see anyone ,I just can’t get myself motivated to do any work the soil has gone from saturated to rock hard due to the strong winds that seem to be constant ,my son in law has gone down with corona he has been rough for nearly two weeks but not with any Symptoms you read about
