Managed to get a 1/2 doz eggs today so pretty happy, just missed the last pack of mince but got the last box of cat food! No tissues, loo roll, frozen stuff except pizza & potato waffles, only venison meat left but got some gammon steaks ! Even got some cold tabs with paracetamol - not sure the caffeine will help me sleep but I did dig the brassica bed so need them for my back!

I blame the supermarket partly. If they had bought in rationing at an early stage this would not have happened.

I would have allocated A member of staff to every queue to check contents of trolleys and forced anybody with too much to go and put their surplus purchases back on the shelves and told them to return to the back of the queue!

Once that message got around people might have come to their senses!

I understand in many shops, staff are already being abused by ill tempered shoppers, I think a police officer would be needed in every shop to enforce rationing.

Not seen loo roll in any of our local shops for over a week.

Did see a video on Twitter by some arsehole showing off his hoard of goods, the place was jammed, to the extent he had about forty bottles of olive oil on top of his kitchen cupboards and four large stackable trays (loose veg in supermarkets kind of thing) full of eating Apple's in the living room!
Absolutely disgusting behaviour and he was proud of it!
Kind of hope some scrote works out who he is and nicks it all, would be poetic justice.
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

Cat food is now rationed at my local! Only 2 packs which would be fine if actually boxes of 12, but only packs of 4, but still only 2 allowed! Now I have 4 cats = 2 meal!s Fortunately fish wasn't rationed & actually no one buying it (why's that, we are an island nation); so poor little mites will have to do with fresh poached fish! Oh the hardship for the critters! ;)

Does anyone else have plans to plant some spaghetti trees? Get the harvest to the shops and there is a fortune to be made.
There must surely be some varieties by now, surely spaghetti linguine, spaghetti fusilli and the very tender spaghetti farfalle

Call security and escort the person off the premises...Without the shopping.

Shallotman, we are lobbying for an additional half-plot. It is contiguous with ours and has been mostly neglected over the past two years. We hope our good record and the fact that the plot has been rejected by others gives us a hrad start.
(The rejection by others is probably due the shade but a) we know how to cope and b) the trees have been cut back.
