Dear Westi, I wish you the happiest of Birthdays and hope you have an equally happy day.
You really are a very, very special member of the forum and never seem to let a question go un-answered, or a new member feel welcome...and as for the smiles and laughter, you never let us down...Happy Birthday Westi.

Thank you everyone! Had a nice day & still researching my promised gift from Mr Westi! You guys & girls will all feature strongly as I want a wildlife web cam thing on the allotment connected to the computer or phone. The only thing to date I have found is it will cost him a wee bit more for a couple or batteries so I can take one home to charge & one down each visit, but part time working is an advantage there. The rest is over to you though asI don't have a clue of type or make or even cost for that matter, but not spending my money!
I will be sorely depressed if the only thing I get is rats, but Mr Westi is pretty keen on seeing bird visits so will probably insist on it being set up higher but he's only down once a week so it might accidentally 'fall down' so I can figure out who is doing a pirate walk around the plot - just holes, no foot print as such but of course weather could be hiding that!
Cheers again everyone for the birthday wishes!

Interested in what you select but I haven't researched them so can't help. I built an owl box a couple of years ago (and my shoulder reminds me from time to time as I fell out of the tree putting it up) and in the Autumn I disturbed an owl perched on it a couple of times so I'm hoping it will be used this year, pictures would be great.
