I was interested in these but not enough information about how & how long it takes the skin to grow over any bits that are exposed. From my experience, even a natural split in the skin attracts mould & that is a tiny scar compared to taking a whole wedge off. The traveller's tale is a pretty good advertising stunt to tempt in the gullible though!

Well I've never been called gullible before. That's a first.

Interesting concept for those who like to try something different but whilst I might be tempted to try just one plant as an experiment I wouldn,t risk geowing a whole year's crop on such an unknown. Such vagueries as the weather or blight always risk derailing a grower anyway so I wouldn,t factor too many unknown into the equation as well.

Besides, a little difficult for cutting up evenly for tomato salads I would imagine!

Certainly not calling YOU gullible Diane! Bejesus you've probably forgotten more than I'll ever learn as the saying goes. Be assured if they had them in stock when I first saw them I would have bought them & grown them, it was only the spell of waiting & discussing with others that made me think of the technicalities of 'how'. Apologises if you read it like that.
