And still it rains! Stuck in the tunnel for an hour or so with it pelting down, unfortunately I have that pretty together so nothing for it but to share my crisps & caramel slice with the dog until it passed. Luckily I managed to get some the burn done before the rain started so not a totally wasted day.

Woke up Saturday with my nose running like a tap.
Now it's descended to my throat and got more glutinous.

With the amount of detail you have given, Peter, we are all very relieved that you haven't got an upset stomach... :)

Hope it doesn't get any worse, though.

Sympathise Peter, we've had that one! I blamed it on being forced to go shopping and mixing with the great unwashed.

sorry to hear that Peter, I've just got over the lurgey. I hate going out in public at this time of year. If I do have to go to a shop, I take wipes and clean everything before I touch it! (I do get odd looks, but I don't give a flying fig!)

I hope I don't get the lurgey - whatever I had last winter was dire.
Wrap up warmly Peter.

Did everyone have their flu jab? Sniffles & snot are one thing but full blown flu can & does kill. I believe the new vaccine has another extra strain that caused a bit of trouble in the Southern Hemisphere! I had mine early so don't have this new strain, but I must admit the needle site did smart for a day or two without it!

Yes had mine early Oct. had a very bad dose of real flu over 20 years ago. Was utterly wiped out and couldn't,t move out of bed for 5 days. When you've had the real thing even a very bad cold will feel like child's play by comparison. Took me a month to feel like a normal human being again.

If you're entitled to a flu jab, have one please !

That's part of the problem a lot of people get a bit of a cold and think it's flu ,you know when you get flu you can't get out of bed you feel like your end has come
