Well, I've learnt something new. Apparently lily beetles scream when you pick them off a lily and it makes all the other lily beetles throw themselves to the ground. (from Hampton Court programme). I've just been out to inspect my lilys but not a l b to be found so I can't confirm. They must have been warned

Did they say, what they screamed, Diane.....

Probably scream "HELP"

"Play Dead!" I think it was.
