My quest....

Ever since I saw a picture of the beautiful Skeleton Flower - Diphylleia grayi - I've been on a mission to try to obtain one. The flower becomes transluscent in the rain - weirdly attractive. Just doesn't seem easily available at this time of the year - either hideously overpriced or just out of stock.

I've emailed absolutely every website, horticultural society, gardening club, specialist nursery, friends, friends of friends - zilch.

Only fellow gardeners will understand the frustration of trying to source an elusive plant...and being thwarted. :(

My quest continues.

Dear Diane,
have you tried your nearest botanical gardens? Or the RHS.

Like Sally says the RHS list 3 suppliers

http://www.edrom-nurseries.co.uk

Diphylleia grayi
Price: £7.50
List Price: £9.00
You Save: £1.50 (17%)
A choice American woodland plant with large green leaves and blue berries.

www.mailorder.crug-farm.co.uk

www.edulis.co.uk

But I can't find it listed for those two but might be worth asking.

Thank you - tried all 3 on the RHS list but out of stock. Tried local botanical gardens. Hardy plant societies, horticultural societies, rare plant nurseries, local Facebook groups. Social media. (Been at it for weeks,) Not giving up.
