Found Stephanie Hafferty article on bolting brassicas very interesting.

Always thought that once plant has gone to seed best to pull it up and plant something else.

Never thought about the benefits for wild life, love the idea of birds getting food from the aphids and leaving roots in.

I know when I have left Brassicas in until they flower, they attract a huge amount of pollenating insects.

I have a club root issue so I get the roots out of the ground as soon as possible. Still after all these years sometimes catch my wife cutting cabbages and cauliflowers instead of digging them up.
