We have a bird cage feeder which contains suet pellets. i reckon my husbands refilling it at least twice a day on average after the early morn8ng refill. . No wonder our housekeeping bills are going through the roof. The starlings particularly rush in like a plague of locusts and eat half a feeder in the space of about ten minutes.

Beautiful sunny morning for our village memorial snowdrop planting campaign in our local park. Lots of people turned up with plants and I included some from our own garden iin memory of loved ones and friends who have died. I did remember Pa Snip.as I planted but wonder whether I should have sprinkled a few sneaky parsnip or curly kale seeds in the turf just to confuse the natives !

I found one of our chickens dead this morning she had been half eaten her stomach and head had been eaten ,she was probably our best chicken who laid large blue eggs, I'm at a loss to think what had killed her no way for a Fox to get in I'm hoping it's not a pole cat as the last one killed thirteen before I trapped it

So glad you had a good turn out Primrose, no more than you deserve....
I remember you posting about the last Polecat, Robo, so let's hope it's not another one.

Sorry for your loss Robo. That,s awful and you must have been really upset. If it was a
polecat , they can be really vicious little creatures. I guess you will now be looking at further ways to try and protect your brood from another attack.
