Colin, it's good that consumers like you keep contacting these companies on issues like this and keep the pressure. I know that many reputable companies are looking for ways to make their goods more environment friendly, but consumer pressure always helps concentrate the mind.
I think organisations like Greenleace, Change.Org and 38 Degress help add consumer pressure with the various petitions that are raised from time to time but when an individual customer takes the trouble to write in, it shows companies that consumers do have concerns which they want taken seriously.

Managed to plant 33 potato sets before the rain started, had a conversation with the pest control officer (rat man ) he showed me some pictures of three deer he had taken one morning last week he said they were two fields away from our allotment I'm amazed this is the industrial north we don't get things like deer or should I say we didn't used too

Well done for getting the potato sets in, Robo, a real credit to you with everything you have going on at the moment....just out of interest, did the pest control officer say what type of deer they were?
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

I think he said roe deer but there are not many experts in this area ,his biggest fear is that some of the local dick heads will find out about them and start hunting them with dogs , we have had rumours over the last four years my grandsons teacher at college came in one morning and said he had seen deer running down the road not far away from the m6 and other rumours that some had been seen in golbourne which is an ex mining village around five miles away
