We've got a dusting of snow here, hills are white, but we have bright sunshine just now.

Cold but beautifully sunny here today. And the amazing thing is that, although it is so bright, the moon is clearly visible at this very moment (15.30) in the blue sky.
Our grandson with cancer walked up Pendle Hill today, the fifth hill he has achieved in his aim to go walking as much as possible until his operation at the end of January.

Good to hear your grandson is going strong on his target. ~We wish him well

Icy cold but sunny down here in Dorset. Tried to dig out some roots of black bamboo, for transplanting. No chance! Too tough - so had to be content with scraping back the soil and cutting the stems. I've made about a trillion stem cuttings hoping some will take. Or I could just buy a plant - but where's the fun in that.

OH, I hope things go well.
Monika, I'm sure the physical exercise is good and the fresh air too.

Thank you for all your good wishes for my grandson. Yes. he says the walking is doing him good, not only physically to get as fit as possible before the op but it is clearing his head and helping him to face whatever may come. He is an experienced walker (he used to teach climbing and river kayaking) and next week's challenge will be Pen-y-ghent, the smallest of the Yorkshire Three Peaks (about 2,270 feet), but that will depend on the weather. When he was first diagnosed in November, the GP offered him anti-depressants, but all the outdoor activities have certainly avoided him having to take any. If anybody is interested, he is doing a Youtube vlog "Walking with Sarcoma", showing and talking about his walks.

Will be thinking of you on Monday OH. Am sure you're not looking forward to it but with some things it,a just a case of gritting your teeth in the knowledge it's in your best interests. Hope all goes well for your grandson's operation too Monika.
