For someone who declared he didn't really need any more seeds for next year, I've just had some delivered. The back ground is my Dad used to grow something new each year that he'd not grown before, so I follow this tradition.
Some Mammoth trench celery, Mammoth red onion, Mammoth pot leeks and some Britains breakfast tomatoes, better get the propagators cleaned out and some compost on standby for the Boxing day ritual of sowing my onions .

That's four new things, Tigerburnie....Maybe making up for lost years.... :)

I do like to try a new variety of something each year.
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

I'Ve always suspected this Boxing Day onion sowing routine was invented by gardeners who had run out of festive Christmas cheer by Christmas night and wanted to escape from visiting relatives who had commandeered their own comfortable armchair for the duration

I'm actually over at my daughters on Boxing Day, so mine might be a day late this year
