Dead (not) raspberry canes

Just notice that my autumn fruiting raspberry canes have risen from the dead. Last week they were brown and shrivelled with ne'er a green leaf to be seen, never mind any actual fruit. I very nearly pruned them all back as I was so fed up with the embarrassment of them.....However, they must have picked up my thoughts as today there are actual red fruit on them. Small, yes, but edible. Hooray for Mother Nature
