Primrose, they're nearly three foot high and the flower are the size of a breakfast teacup.

That's alright ! We have plenty of dirt and earth in our road gutters and potholes round here !!
Must make a really spectacular display, and such a pretty colour.!

I've just finished reading the June edition of Kitchen garden and the Last Word article sums up my attitude to gardening this year. It might be a mess but it still looks beautiful and if things aren't perfect they are still fine by me. I do what I can and don't worry if there are things I don't get round to. I love and enjoy my garden. Didn't know that I was practising "wabi-sabi".
