Just been out watering my veg, and noticed that the soil is absolutely seething with ants, mostly winged ants. Almost very single bit of the garden.
I've had enough trouble already this year with ants 'farming' the aphids on all my fruit bushes and other crops, and generally disturbing newly-emerged seedlings, so i hope all this lot are about to fly away to pastures new!

They might be little, but they certainly can be very annoying and do a lot of damage.....
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Lots of ants here too this year, even one nest in the dwarf peach tree pot farming the scale insects which are also a major problem to remove.

I laughed Tiger. There always seems to be a courgette in everybody's harvest photo!
I have some nice top tassels appearing on my sweet corn plants. As I'm short of space they,re planted in two adjacent rows which is the nearest I could get to planting in a block system and it,s quite interesting to see the extent to which the front row of the two have blocked the light out from the back row and how much more advanced they seem to be.

Arson is the suspected cause, bar hasn't been in operation since May, no booze on board, everything switched off.
It's been burgled before several times and we haven't bothered with repairing the lock to avoid more damage being caused before the burglars realise there's nothing worth stealing in it.

BAR STEWARDS !!!
The danger when people start to believe their own publicity is that they often fall off their own ego.
At least travelling under the guise of the Pa Snip Enterprise gives me an excuse for appearing to be on another planet
