tigerburnie: A friend of ours apparently uses Spam as bait . At least that seems to me a very clean way of storing it rather than having a freezer full of all kinds of mixed up bait from unmentionable stuff !

Yep Chub, Barbel and Carp among others have been caught by me in the past using spam, sometimes dusted with Turmeric too(the fish ate better than I did.)
Been gardening for over 65 years and still learning.
