That's the mini tunnel full, last beetroot choggia in along with some mixed radish in between.
Been gardening for over 65 years and still learning.

But the coffin is mostly wood which is a poor conductor & the rich folk with the marble coffins usually have them above ground anyway from the off!

I assume corpses aren't good conductors of heat.

what about the foundations of unheated buildings , garden walls etc?


empty septic tanks will float out the ground on water, but i doubt theres many stones that are less dense than water.
but if your stones are less dense than the surrounding compacted water logged soil they might have a tendancy to "float" if the soil flexes with thermal change.

Large stones rising to the surface could be granular convection or the muesli effect where you end up with all the large nuts at the top of the packet.
