An interesting article (to a pretty inexperienced allotmenteer like me!) in yesterday's Guardian magazine. I'm sceptical about Lia Leendertz's claim that you can cope with an allotment by putting in just half an hour a day. In any case she recommends that you take on half a plot, and share with someone else - which if you're on your own with one plot actually equates to 1 1/2 or 2 hours per day.
However there are some useful pointers in it, for example buying in a manageable quantity of seedlings, rather than attempting to sow everything from seed, and doing a little a lot rather than a lot seldom (as is often the case with me!)
