Came downstiars this after noon to find my little girl "reading" my kitchen garden mag :)

So sweet, just had to share (will be emailing a letter to the mag too :D )

She loves helping in the garden :) And loves "reading" so I shouldnt be supprised really

I feel I should add that at 19 months she cant actually read yet...

Come spring, she'll have her own veg patch, and she has a spade and a rake... I have to watch my head with that one lol

some lettuce and carrots this year. And maybe a couple of runner beans in a second bed. And i'm letting her take command of the radish row too.

My young niece has her own patch - loves the round carrots, radish, bush tomato, dwarf French beans, strawberries and raspberries ..... Admittedly none ever make it to the plate as she eats them all first!

I can't think of anything better than to get young uns to grow and know where their food comes from.

thanks pwaty. I'd forgotten the strawberry bed. Its at the end of her play garden (our garden has a patio, grass play area, and a growing area) So she can look after them without even going down the steps :) lol
