Bought some potato sacks from a well known seeds-man. The mesh is so fine my spuds have started to go green, had to double up the sacks. :(

They're all net curtains nowadays, buy the paper sacks.

This year I have used some cardboard boxes, partly filled with paper from the shredder. New life for old financial documentation!

Personally, I keep my potatoes (well, the home grown ones anyway), carrots, beats, and other roots, oh and occasionally winter squash, in a make shift root cellar. Once I've written up the documentation, I'll share how I did it :)
