Happy birthday Tigger.
Do not put off thanking people when they have helped you, as they may not be there to thank later.

I'm so sorry I'm so late in replying.
Some of you will know that I've had a bit of a tough year. Last Christmas Eve I was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of cancer and my odds of survival were pretty poor. They didn't think I would make it through to the summer.
I had extensive surgery followed by specialist radiotherapy.
Despite all odds I'm still here.
My personal plan was if I got through I would go to the Western Hebrides because this was somewhere I had always wanted to visit.
So - For my birthday we've just spent three weeks travelling from Barra to North Lewis and I can't tell you how wonderful it has been, not least because we've had amazing weather, great experiences and such fabulous personal encounters.
Hence my lack of communication.
The furthest we had been before was Skye but this trip was so different.
Please bear with me as I will be much more participative now I am back in the land of the living.
Thank you to all of you.
Margaret / Tigger.

Dear Tigger, i did know you hadn't been that well but, i had no idea things have been so serious for you. It just goes to show what a strong, wonderful person you are, to get to where you have so far. I do hope you keep making good progress and that things get a lot easier.
I'm so pleased you had a fabulous time on your travels, as you certainly deserved it.
You have been seriously missed on the forum, so i can't tell you how nice it will be to have you back.....
Margaret, one of my favourite names.... Sorry, i will never change.
