Went asparagus hunting today round Evesham. Ooooohhhhh how good it was.... just steamed it for a couple of mins and had it with a poached egg.

Anybody cropping yet??

Yes, we're on our third harvest so far I think. Nothing can compare to it. :D

And strange though it may seem, the fact it makes your pee smell is a weird reassurance of the goodness permeating your body!

Does it really?? I didn't know that.
Explains why the MB called me from the bathroom last night saying something smelled funny, I politely declined to check..... :shock:

There is some compound in the asparagus that makes your pee smell of rotting cabbage but it doesn't affect everyone - I think about 60% of people suffer from "asparagus wee".
