Yes Primrose, I remember those! I did 2 or 3 of them, all very 70's pattern and colour. They wore very well too. I still have the rug hooks somewhere... I think they were destroyed by puppy chewing in the end.

what wonderful stories! my own day was nearly 4 years ago. i made my dress and as much else as I could - candles etc. the only real expense was the food and drink. it was in a hotel, which was part of the deal if you bought the food. I ended up not liking the dress (after spending so long making it!)

Belated congratulations Alan,
We had a register office wedding at Leeds, nearly 35 yrs ago. Reception was held at his mum's house.
Our first home was totally furnished with second-hand furniture that ws given to us.
Yes I remember Readicut rugs, I have one ongoing at the moment, although they are very difficult to get hold of now, and more expensive :?

Belated congratulations Alan :)

A friend of mine has just been invited to a wedding. No presents please, just financial donations to fund our year long trip to Vietnam and Cambodia.
I won't put on here what she said about that

We hit 40 years later in the summer. Our little terraced house in Sevenoaks cost £8700 then. Probably worth about £300,000 now.
Cheers PJ.

I'm just off down the greenhouse. I won't be long...........
