Sounds a brilliant way to tackle food and water production in desert conditions. If the governments can be persuaded to invest in setting it up in the poorer African countries it would make a huge difference.

I'm sure that if Qatar gets it up and running the other oil rich Arab countries will follow suit.

Pity we don't have a bit more sunshine here. I might be a bit more inclined to install solar panels. I shouldn't think we'd have got much back from the investment this year. Funny how the weather is hardly ever just right.
