Contender for the most ridiculous website - I know they are Irish but - looking for Clover products so I do their stockist search by putting in my Lancashire postcode and these are the first two hits.

I ordered some veg seeds from D T Brown a couple of days ago and was chuffed to receive an acknowledgement telling me all the seed packets I,d ordered had been reduced to £1 a packet. Don't know how long this reduction lasts for but anybody thinking of ordering seeds might find it worth checking them out..

Hi Geoff,
Over here your Clover is sold as Shamrock and I'm having trouble obtaining it. I think it may be an EU directive regarding peat harvesting.
Regards,
Der.

Geoff,
Another bit of Irish thinking......Bord na Mona ( Irish peat board) stopped harvesting peat from their bogs in 2020 after a High Court ruling which made it subject to rigorous environmental scrutiny and complex licensing laws.
As stockpiles diminished, last September, imports were brought in from other places eg. Latvia. This peat, from a horticultural point of view, is far inferior to Irish peat.
Now the Irish Government is introducing a cross-party bill that will delay the ban, on horticultural peat extraction, until 2030.
So all may not be lost.
Regards,
Der.
