All the talk about faggots and mushy peas got me interested and surely someone out there has a recipe for the lovely faggots that a novice like me can try. I have searched the index to no avail whitch suprises me as they are popular. also what peas does anyone grow to give mushy peas to go with them. I would really be interested to find out please. good luck to all.

Ingredients
1½ lb pigs liver
6 oz bacon
2 medium onions
7 oz fresh white breadcrumbs
3 oz shredded suet
2 tsp chopped fresh sage
1 tsp chopped fresh basil
salt and pepper

Method
1. Mince the liver, bacon and onions together and mix with the other ingredients.
2. Form into 8 balls and roll them in a little flour.
3. Pack closely together in a baking tin and bake in a moderate oven (350F/180C/Gas Mark 4) for 30 minutes.
4. Serve with rich gravy.

Hi Ya Snooky. cheers for the recipe it will be put into action tonight and i am looking forward to it. The lady who used to make them and lived over the road was from cardiff aswell. small world isn't it. thanks and good luck for the new season.
