I've saved some seeds from supermarket pumpkins, and I've got too many to plant now (and I don't even know if I should plant the seeds from supermarket veg - as it probably won't be as good as the proper seeds bought in packets).
Does anyone have a recipe (or instructions) for roasting the pumpkin seeds to make a healthy snack?
Thanks,
Kranser.

Hello Kranser, In answer to your questions, personally, I would not plant the seeds from a super market pumpkin. there is a possibility that the parent plant has hybridised with another member of the curcubit family, you may not get a pumpkin! I tried roasting pumpkin seeds this weekend with some success. Wash the seeds, spread them out to dry, when dry, toss them in some olive oil, sea salt and a little chilli powder.Heat the oven to gas mark 6 and roast until starting to turn brown. Its a good idea to take them out every few minutes and give them astir.
