Has anyone had a taste of this?
It's like a tomato pickle with a curry flavour.
It's made by the Lyme Bay Winery and it's ever so good. The label suggests it's 46% tomatoes, 9.8% sugar, Lyme Bay Cider Vinegar, gelling agent, fruit pectin, veg oil, 4% Cider, salt, spices, garlic, fennel, cumin, cardamon.
Has anyone got a similar recipe?

This is the nearest I could come up with - very good it is to. You could try using cidar vinegar.
5 lb ripe tomatoes
1/2 lb onions
2 tablespoons salt
1 & 1/2 pint malt vinegar
1 & 1/2 oz. cornflour
1 & 1/2 tablespoon curry powder
1 level tablespoon mustard powder
l lb sugar
METHOD
Skin tomatoes and cut into pieces. Put in a large bowl with chopped onions, cover with salt and leave over night.
Next day drain off juices and discard.
Put tomatoes and onions in a large saucepan just cover with vinegar and boil for five minutes.
Mix dry incredients with some of the vinegar
Add to pan together with the sugar and remaining vinegar.
Boil for about 1 hour.
Pot into warm jars and seal.

Sorry folks mistake in the recipe for curry tom. relish.
Should be 2 teaspoons of mustard powder NOT tablespoon
Unless of course you like it very hot.

Hi everyone.........was looking for a recipe to make tomatoe and chilli relish, would this do if I replaced the curry powder with chopped up chilli peppers and add it in at the initial cooking stage?
