Ages ago I promised my recipe for cherry brandy, my apologies for the delay! here it is.

1jar Lidl black cherries in syrup (or similar)

6-8 ozs caster sugar
one and a quarter pints Brandy, very cheap is fine!

Place cherries in a suitable sized jar with a little of the retained syrup, add the sugar then the brandy. Leave for 3 weeks, strain and bottle.
It should be great by Christmas, the left over cherries are very good, but look out if you are driving!
Regards, Essexboy.
PS, forgot to add, shake jar every day for the first week.
