Preheat oven to 160c/325f of Gas Mark 3.
Grease an ovenproof dish with butter.

Serves 4
5 peaches (or nectarines)
5og caster sugar
4 Amaretti Biscuits, crushed
2 egg yolks
25g cocoa powder
knobs of butter

Halve and stone the peaches. Scoop a little flesh from the centre of each half to make more room for the stuffing. Then chop that removed flesh with the flesh of one of the peaches and stir in the sugar, amaretti, egg yolks and cocoa powder.
when nicely mixed, divide the mixture among the cavities of each peach half, piling it up into a dome. Dot each dome with butter, place the peaches in the prepared dish and bake for 1 hour.
Serve hot, or warm.

They were lovely.

So it sounds like you all DID have a good time at Malvern!

Seriously, I'm really cheesed off to have missed Malvern as I've never been and we had other things on last weekend. Guess that's about the end of the Autumn fairs?

I think there's just Harrogate left to go Garlic Guy. You could get the dates for next year's Malvern Shows in your diary now though, so you can plan to be there!
