Here is an old recipe of my mums.
I still have some that she made 20 years ago- and its good! She used to call it Blackberry Curacoa

Warning- this is sweet like a liqueur but remember it's half gin!!

4lb ripe blackberries
3lb sugar
Gin

Place fruit and sugar in a bowl, in a warm place, until the juice is drawn from the berries. (about 8 hours in an airing cupboard )
Strain through a jelly bag or muslin. ( be patient)
To every pint of juice add a pint of gin, mix well and bottle.
Leave for 3 months- if you can!
Excellent for a sore throat, with a touch of hot water.
happy brewing, wygela

I posted this recipe three years ago, have been away for a while and pleased to find that 725 people have viewed this recipe ( or one person 725 times?)

I'd love to hear of peoples experience of making - and drinking -this drink.??
