I'm looking for an easy sweet and sour sauce to add to stir fry left overs.
Does anyone have a favourite recipe.

Hi Beryl,

Ken Homs and will keep in a sealed jar in the fridge.

2 tablespoons ginger marmalade
2 tablespoons orange marmalade
1/4 (quarter) teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
1 tablespoon hot water

Combine all ingredients together. Be sure to mix them thoroughly.

Or another of his which may be better for what you want it for.

5 fl. oz.(150 ml) chicken stock
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1/2 (half) teaspoon salt
1.1/2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 teaspoon cornflour
1 teaspoon water

Combine all ingredients EXCEPT cornflour and water in a pan and bring to the boil.
Blend together the water and cornflower, stir into the sauce and bring back to the boil.
This is particularly nice if 75g of tinned lychees (drained) or fresh orange segments are added.

Regards,
Gerry.

Thanks Gerry. They both sound good but as you say I think the second one is more what I am looking for. I will definitely give it a try.

Thanks again.

Beryl.
