Get your squash into chunks anyway you can - I've even clobbered mine with a hammer. If you don't want to roast it with the skin put a chunk into the microwave for a few minutes then you can easily peel off the skin.

I am envious as mine have rotted - I think they got frosted - but I did
use up the Crown Prince's first, it was the grenn speckly ones that were left and didn't agree with the weather. Lesson learnt - Crown Prince and QLD Blue this year - or use the other varieties first.
