Parsnip-stained hands

Help!

I spent most of yesterday afternoon and a couple of hours this morning peeling, chopping and blanching parsnips for the freezer.

The result - a freezer full of parsnips chunks that will be used over summer for soups, curries and for roasting.

The other result - orange hands!

Any ideas on how I can clean them, because soap and a scrubbing brush are making no difference whatsoever? :?

Dear Mouse, not sure of the answer but, maybe you could make and patent an all over body tan lotion.

I must be losing it - I could have sworn that I answered this post over an hour ago! :?

Anyway, I'll repeat what I thought I had said earlier: that sounds like a good idea, OH, either a tanning lotion or shoe polish!

Hi Mouse
You could try lemon juice - that has a bleaching effect.

Dear Mouse, just rub the rest of yourself down with Parsnip chunks and you can start a career as one of those WAG ladies or a daytime TV presenter.

Perhaps that was Dale Winto's makeup secret.

That makes me think of David Dickinson, aka 'the orange man'.

The trouble is, applied to my naturally ghostly white skin (the Scottish and Irish part of me, I think!), I would probably look like a carrot! :?

Seedling: Lemon juice sounds like a good idea - it's a pity I haven't got any in at the moment! However, my hands are starting to look a bit better now anyway, and I just have to remember to keep them palms down while I'm teaching!

Hello Mouse. Probably a bit late now but I find toothpaste :D removes some stubborn stains....it certainly works on the long lasting lipstick I use!
Cheers.
