Hi. I have a good crop of clean carrots at the moment and want to store them in a sand box. Can I start now or is it too early? Also do you wash them first or just let them dry and remove any loose earth?

I'll try & remember to look in the RHS Vegetable Garden Displayed tonight, but with a 99% confidence level would say do NOT wash the :D m as that will damage the skin and allow rot etc.

Just dig, rmove large lumps of soil and then sand-box them.
