I've pulled up most of my onions - need the space for something else - and wonder if there's a maximum drying heat for them? I've put them in my mini plastic greenhouse on trays to protect them from the rain, with the flap locked open but it still gets pretty warm in there at time and wonder if there's any risk in semi cooking them them, as opposed to just drying them. Would excess heat reduce their storage capacity?

I have some in the greenhouse Primrose to finish ripening and drying off and it gets pretty hot in there even with the door and widows open and they don't seem to come to any harm.

The rest are still on the lottie although up on wire mesh off the ground getting soaked most days. I will get them home soon as I can.

Beryl.
