What a useful site. Thanks for posting it. I had a lot of problems a few years ago with Kilner jar rings rusting and being unable to replace them, so now I tend to recycle commercial jam, pickle & Marmalade jars with resealable lids, and find that as long as I sterilise them properly, they work perfectly well.
