Had quite a good crop of main crop spuds (Desiree), but a lot of them have started sprouting underground, with long, (1-3") white tendrils. This has never happened before and the Earlies (Pentland Javelin) in the adjacent plot have been OK. I've rubbed the sprouts off, but will this affect storage?

They might not keep well, I'd use them first
