I have got some of these from Ben and Kate at Real Seeds.
Has anyone seen, grown or tried them? They seem to be climbers, so I am looking forward to growing them next year.

Dear Alan,
they are a tall pea, over 5' if I recall rightly. They do have the most fabulous purple and pink flowers though. A few are nice blanched for a mixed salad but a bit grim en masse cooked as they look so over boiled.

I also have some of those to plant next year too Alan. mostly will use them in salads, they might fare better lightly steamed than boiled. At least they will be easy to spot when harvesting.

I grew them a couple of years ago and wasn't too impressed with their flavour. I've grown much sweeter mangetout. They are quite prolific though and look very pretty.

Plumpudding, I seem to remember that was a very wet summer? I think peas need sunshine to sweeten up properly , it might possibly have been down to the weather.

Harvesting the yellow peas now, cropping well. Blanching them briefly in boiling water, then plunging into cold and eating with salads, sweet and tender, slightly different flavour hard to describe, but nice.
