Hi, me again! I bought 4 different varieties of sweetpeas today and I was wondering, when I plant them outside, will they grow happily together? I'm sure I read somewhere that some varieties don't grow well together...or was this strawberries??? I must be tired.
Also, do runner beans, peas and sweet peas grow well together? My thought was pretty and edible
Sweet peas?

Harden them off properly and they can go out as soon as this cold period ends, especially if you can give them fleece protection for a couple of weeks. Sweet Peas (mixed), Peas and Runner Beans will do great together and will be good for your rotation - put the greens there next year. I always grow Broad Beans, Sweet Peas and Runner Beans in three parallel rows next to each other and reckon it gives a high insect population and hence a goot set on the Runners.
Thanks

Dont forget to keep picking the flowers or they will just set seed. The more you pick the more you get.
Kindest regards Piglet
