Hi

I'm growing Goji berries in patio pots, and last year they developed mildew mould on their leaves.

I think this is probably because they got too wet (as it rained rather a lot last year), and I recently read that they can survive in rather dry conditions - and only need watering during very dry periods.

Am I silly in thinking that I should now be trying to protect them from rain somehow? Maybe an umbrella, or plastic over part of the soil surface (though I was thinking that plastic may just make conditions for mould worse).

Or maybe I am wrong and the mildew mould wasn't due to the wet conditions!

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Does anyone else grow plants outside which do not require much water?
