Is there on the market a weood preservative that does not repel climbing plants, such as Virginia Creeper or Runner Beans? I find they won't go near tanelised timber, or frames with creosote, spirit preservative etc. Thanks

Hello JohnN, most of the top brands now do a wax based preservative, they don't do such a good job as the ones you mentioned, but at least they are plant freindly.

The Sadolin range is very good (as long as you choose the right one for the job), although it's a wood finish rather than a preservative.
