Ratte potatoes

General tips / questions on seeding & planting

I was hoping to plant some Ratte seed potatoes this year, but they seem to have disappeared from the pages of all 3 of the 2006 catalogues I requested.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier?

Thanks a lot

I had a nice plate full off ratti from my polytunnel on boxing day. They came from a missed spud from when I dug them up in summer. I saw it sprouting in November and thought I'd leave it to see what happened, tasted just like I remembered, one of the best early tatties I think.

Edwin Tucker also list them.

Sorry, can't seem too do a direct link. From that page go to:

>catalogues
>section two
and then go to page 111.

(AFAIK the potatoes link doesn't seem to get you to the actual potatoes for sale! Or maybe I missed it?)
