I've just sown some rather elderly long pointy sweet pepper seeds dated 2015 as I can,t find the home grown seeds I saved from my own crop last year.

Iin case they don't germinate, will sowing fresh seeds from freshly bought market stall peppers of this variety work or should the seeds be dried first, snd if so, for so long?

Whilst I,ve regularly sowed my dried pepper seeds in the past I've never sown any freshly gathered and wonder if there,s something n the biological process which hinders germination?
