There is lots of adds for potatoes to sow for Christmas, so wondering if I can resow some of the spuds I have just harvested?

I think not. I think the ones for Christmas cropping are kept in cold storage so they don't realise summer has happened yet. Otherwise they'll come up next spring like volunteers do.

I could be wrong, this is vague memory. I only grew them once, I don't want new potatoes with my Christmas dinner, I want roasties !

Thanks Tony looks like I will have to buy some.

Seen 3 types for salad, will probably try the chips & roasting roasting variety as like you we like roasted spuds.

I save sets from Spring bought potatoes, just chit them up, leave them in the greenhouse and planted them a week ago.
I still have to run the gaunlet of late blight, as i plant them on the allotment.... they are Charlotte, by the way.
